Sell Your Coins in Western Australia
Selling a coin or banknote collection in Perth or elsewhere in Western Australia? You can start with Sydney-based Ensleigh Coins by sending photographs, a brief description and your location. We assess suitable collections remotely first and discuss inspection and handover arrangements before you send anything.
Send photos of your collectionWhat we buy
- Mint-issued products and boxed collections: Royal Australian Mint, Perth Mint and international mint issues, including silver proof coins, uncirculated sets, proof sets, gold sets and uncirculated mint-issued coins. Packaged mint product is of particular interest.
- Suitable Australian pre-decimal coins: threepences, sixpences, shillings, florins and crowns, including key dates.
- Sovereigns, half sovereigns and other suitable gold coins.
- Collectible banknotes: pre-decimal, paper decimal and polymer notes, from single notes to full collections.
- Graded coins, genuine rarities and specialist material: including PCGS graded coins, key date coins and high-value numismatic items.
- Mixed and inherited collections: family collections and deceased estates.
You do not need to identify, catalogue or value every item before contacting us. Send photographs first and we will assess whether your collection is suitable for purchase.
What we generally don’t buy
- Ordinary Australian decimal coins from circulation, including HH $2 coins and commemorative coins found in change
- Common circulated pennies and halfpennies, except key dates or uncirculated examples
- Ordinary modern non-silver world coins brought home from travel
Key dates, genuine rarities and uncirculated examples can be exceptions. If you are unsure, include them in your photographs.
Send photographs, a brief description and your location. For larger collections, start with overview photographs and a few representative close-ups. You do not need to identify or value every item before contacting us.
We respond to enquiries within 48 hours.
This is a free assessment for potential purchase, not a formal insurance or probate valuation.

Selling a collection from Western Australia
If you’re in Perth or regional Western Australia, start by sending photographs rather than posting your collection. Ensleigh Coins is based in Sydney, and the initial assessment can begin remotely.
Include your location, a brief description and overview photographs showing the scale of the collection. We may request closer photographs or further information before discussing an offer or inspection.
For suitable collections, we will discuss the next steps and agree any inspection or transport arrangements before anything is sent. If you have boxed Perth Mint coins or sets, our mint collection guide explains the types of material we’re interested in.
Appointments and collection visits
Interstate collection visits
Generally $20,000 or more
Visits are arranged after reviewing your photographs and depend on the collection, location and suitability for purchase. These travel values are guidelines, not automatic eligibility for a visit. Interstate collection visits are generally considered for collections valued at $20,000 or more, subject to the collection, location and prior agreement. This is a travel guideline, not a minimum for enquiring. If you’re unsure of your collection’s value, start by sending photographs.
Buying in Perth and helping WA collectors sell at auction
Ensleigh Coins purchased a broad range of material from members of the public at the Perth Stamp and Coin Show.
Purchases included gold sovereigns and half-sovereigns, Australian proof and mint sets, 1966 round silver 50-cent pieces, pre-decimal silver and 1937 crowns. We also bought international coins, including Chinese dollars, American Morgan dollars and French Indochina piastres.
Our work with Western Australian sellers also extends to auction consignments through Copeland Roberts (opens in a new tab), our associated auction house. WA consignors Andrew and Michael have each supplied material across multiple auctions, with completed sales demonstrating an ongoing relationship with collectors in the state.
These examples show two ways we work with Western Australian sellers: purchasing suitable material outright through Ensleigh Coins, and offering suitable consignments at auction through Copeland Roberts.
If you’re in Perth or regional Western Australia, send photographs, a brief description and your location. We can discuss the appropriate selling route and agree any inspection or transport arrangements before anything is sent. Auction consignments are subject to Copeland Roberts’ fees and terms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you buy collections from Western Australia?
Yes. Ensleigh Coins is based in Sydney and welcomes enquiries from sellers in Perth and regional Western Australia. Send photographs, a brief description and your location using the enquiry form so we can assess whether your collection is suitable for purchase.
Do I need to know what my coins are worth?
No. You do not need to identify, catalogue or value every item before contacting us. Send photographs first and we will assess whether your collection is suitable for purchase and, where appropriate, make an offer or explain what further information or inspection is needed.
What photographs should I send?
Use the enquiry form to send photographs, a brief description and your location. For larger collections, start with overview photographs and a few representative close-ups. The form explains what to include with your upload.
Can you arrange a collection visit in Western Australia?
A visit may be possible after we review your photographs. See the collection-visit guidance above, and contact us to agree any arrangements before planning a visit.
Can I post my coins to you?
Please do not post anything until we have assessed your photographs and agreed the arrangements with you. Contact us first using the enquiry form or at contact@ensleighcoins.com, and we will explain the next step if your collection is suitable.
Is this a formal valuation?
No. Our free assessment is for the purpose of a potential purchase. It is not a formal insurance or probate valuation.
How does payment work?
If you accept our offer, we agree the inspection and handover details and pay by electronic transfer once the purchase is finalised. Payments are made via OSKO, which is not always instantaneous and may take more than 24 hours to process.
Can I discuss auction instead of direct sale?
Yes. Ensleigh Coins works in partnership with Copeland Roberts, a specialist numismatic auction house where Robbie is also Managing Director. Suitable material can be discussed for consignment, and results depend on the auction, applicable fees and settlement terms. Mention it in your enquiry and we can talk through both options.
Terms and Conditions
Please note, that we reserve the right to reject offering a valuation of any collection at our sole discretion. Common reasons that we will not value a collection are a lack of intent to sell, it’s too insignificant to warrant appraisal or there is little numismatic value in the collection. We will however inform you of the reasons for rejection. If we make an offer but the collection is found to be either faulty, contains forgeries or fakes or has any other significant defects that were not disclosed during the valuation process, we reserve the right to withdraw our offer. Payment will be made via OSKO instant payments. This, however, may not always be instantaneous and may result in processing times in excess of 24 hours. Unfortunately, this is out of our control.
